Templates for Download and Guidelines for CDs

2. Download CD templates:

in Adobe Photoshop (Windows pc only)
Send your artwork on CD to us with your order or bring it
to us at a Chunksofmeat show if you are local (St. Louis) or send an email or
call for arrangements for local.

Requirements
for graphics submitted on CD-Rom
1. All
color graphics must be saved as CMYK.
2. All black and white graphics must be saved as grayscale.
3. Scan images at 300 dpi, save as 300 dpi.
4. Include 1/8 inch bleed on booklets and traycards, no bleed on CD face (must
be exact).
5. CD face graphics must have specific Pantone colors indicated in artwork
unless full color, then indicate CMYK.
6. On booklets and traycards, any text should not be closer than 1/4 inch to the
edges.
7. Optional - Download the appropriate
compact disc logo
in TIF format. The logo usually appears on the disc face and traycard. Place it
in your artwork files. It is available in the downloadable design templates
file.
8.
Once your graphics are designed:
a. Include any special fonts if using (we have many fonts, however, include them
just in case)
b. Keep any templates on separate layer
c. Supply printout of all artwork files for our reference to insure your files
open properly (computer printout ok)
9. You will be submitting the following files:
a. CD face
b. Traycard
c. Booklet outside pages
d. Booklet inside pages (if needed)
e. Note: For booklets, a 4 page booklet would require two files(one for the
outside pages 1 and 4, one for the inside pages 2 and 3). An 8 page booklet
would require 4 files(one for pages 1 and 8, one for pages 2 and 7, one for
pages 3 and 6, one for pages 4 and 5)
f. If you are designing a two sided traycard, you will also submit an additional
file for the inside panel of the traycard
10. We accept artwork created in the following programs:
a. Adobe Photoshop - PC, save as .psd and .pdf if possible with text saved in
outlines
b. Files submitted from programs other than the above will not be accepted. You
need to supply artwork that is compatible with the above programs.

If
you follow these guidelines, your artwork can be quickly processed to film, and
then to print, resulting in fast turnaround of your project. If any aspect of
the above is not met, your project could be delayed until the problem is
resolved. The delay varies depending upon the problem. If proofs are already
issued to you and then you wish to change or resubmit a file, the charge is $50.
Note: Before printing, we intensively scan over your artwork and make any
necessary adjustments should what you submit be slightly off in size. Most of
these adjustsments are done free of charge. Proofs are then submitted to you for
approval. Proofs include crop marks and bleed lines so you can see exactly where
the edges and fold lines are.
